THE ONE TO THE LEFT
have your brakes checked
Friction
If the brakes works it will stop UFDA
If you back up and hit the brakes and the car stops running, this is likely to mean that the car is not working properly. It is most likely to mean that the fuses are going out.
Keep the car straight. Ease of gas, do not apply brakes. Let the car slow down until it is almost stopped . Right before your car stops pull of the road and apply brakes.
I'd have those looked at while your car still stops
When brakes are used to stop a car, friction is created between the brake pads and the brake rotors, which slows down the rotation of the wheels. This friction converts the kinetic energy of the car into thermal energy, dissipating heat in the process. This heat is what ultimately stops the car by reducing its speed.
I would have to say that Midas is the fastest at servicing brakes. They specialize in brakes, but Monro is also a good company to check out, they too specialize in brakes.
Check for vacuum leak
When a car stops and the brakes heat up due to friction, it is an example of the conversion of kinetic energy into thermal energy. The friction between the brake pads and the rotors generates heat as the car's motion is resisted, illustrating the principles of energy transformation and the work-energy theorem in physics.
most likely the brakes, good place to start looking anyway
Yes you can rely on the brakes to stop you without ABS, however the braking distance will be greater and the car is will skid if the brakes are used hard. If your ABS isn't working take it to a car garage and get it fixed.
