The executive branch
The duties and structure of the executive branch of government are found in the US Constitution. More specifically they are defined in Article 2 of the Constitution.
Article One of the United States Constitution describes the powers of the legislative branch of the United States government, known as Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The Judicial Branch is defined and delineated by Article III of the Constitution (though the word "branch" never appears).

Article I of the Constitution defines the legislative branch of the U.S. government.
Article III of the United States Constitution outlines the responsibilities of the Judicial Branch. The Judicial Branch has the most clearly defined position in the government. The description is short because of that.
