The Vice-President is part of the Executive branch of the US government, but he is also President of the Senate, which carries very little power (may break tie votes).
The only guaranteed condition specified by the Constitution concerning the nature of state governments was a Republic Form of government. The Constitution also states that each state will be protected from invasion as well.
Because they had just fought an entire war to break away from a strong, distant, central government. So you can see how forming a strong central government might have been a bit of a scary idea to these men.
To learn what the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights say it is best t0 read those documents. As a short summary, the Declaration of Independence explains what nasty things the King of the UK and his government was doing to the American colonies and their citizens (in their view) and says that because of that they have a right to break their ties with the United Kingdom. The Constitution describes the organization of the United States federal government and says what the different powers are of each branch of government. The Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution, being the first ten (10) amendments to that document. Taken as a whole, the Bill of Rights explicitly limits the powers of the government is a number of areas. The text of these documents can be seen at many places on the internet. Among them, the Constitution can be seen at http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution_transcript.htmland the Declaration at http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/declaration_transcript.html
You need to be careful in this situation, if you hit the branch but do not break it or dislodge something it is fine. If you do break the branch or dislodge it you will incur a penalty.
Well, assuming your nation is the United States, it works out that way. The Constitution does not explicitly state it that way, but inherent in the system is that if you break a law (which can only be enacted by Congress) then you have a right to a hearing before a jury of your peers, which only takes place in the Judicial system. In practice, there are "law equivalents" enacted by Executive order, such as tax regulations, which are then tried in special courts called "tax courts". Guess the government got tired of juries giving citizens a break in real court.
Congress is part of the Legislative branch of government.
Those who break the laws are typically subject to the judicial branch of government. This branch is responsible for interpreting laws, administering justice, and ensuring that legal consequences are enforced. Offenders may face penalties such as fines, imprisonment, or community service, depending on the severity of the offense. Ultimately, the judicial system aims to uphold the rule of law and maintain societal order.
