Not many camcorders these days are able to output in DivX, but there are some Canon ones that can, I believe.
yes divx is very safe and is used in phones ps3s and DVD players divx plays avi format
toshiba SD -3990
Any reputable DVD/VCR players should be able to play DivX movie format.
it supports both DivX and XvID video
Both Panasonic and Cannon make camcorders that will record in a variety of formats.
you must convert it to another format playable on iphone, like mp4 for example. search for .avi to mp4 converter there are a lot of free converter programs out there. hope this helps as iphone is not capable of playing divx directly. Using Orb you can actually stream whatever is on your PC, DivX or any other format, to your iPhone.
DivX is a compression format - it represents information. A DVD is a physical media format - it is an object you can hold in your hand. There are two different layers of abstraction. For those that still don't understand, try this: do words read books? :DIncompatible types of entities.
Almost all camcorders (such as Canon ones) accept SD format. For digital media it's the gold standard.
Mine does avi fine and that was bought 4 years ago. I think DivX and avi files are the same format.
Philips Dvp520 does not support DivX format unfortunately. When you use Nero to burn movies, use the Movie function ( it will convert automatically into a format that your DVD player does support ). The only con is, you are only able to put 1 movie onto a DVD at a time ( divx would support up to 5 movies covering 700MB per movie).
YES. Just make sure the .AVI file you are playing used DIVX output video codec and MP3 output audio codec. Use SUPER by eRightSoft, its for FREE. You can read articles of SUPER through here: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUPER_(software)" If you are unsure of what type of codec has been used in encoding the .AVI file you're going to burn, you can also used SUPER to analyze it. If it turned out that the .AVI file you've analyze is not in DIVX video codec and MP3 audio codec, you can re-encode the file by selecting DIVX as its output video codec and MP3 as its audio codec. Dont forget to set its output container to AVI. Once you have click the "Encode (Active Files)" button, make sure that you have selected "DIVX -All DivX Players compatible!" in the Rendered file optimizer dialog box, and click OK.
BGR24 is raw video format used to store uncompressed video by high end camcorders
