The conducting path is the cell that will be damaged during a short circuit. The reason for this that the conducting path will have a very low resistance and will allow for a large current to flow through the cell and damage it.

DNA is part of chromosome, and will not be affected. The cell splits in chromosomes. There may be some DNAs damaged, but this is in very very small numbers.
Damaged tissue can be repaired by fibroblasts, which are a type of connective tissue cell. Fibroblasts produce collagen and other extracellular matrix components to rebuild the damaged tissue and restore its structural integrity.
Mitosis is the term used for the type of cell division that occurs during the repair of damaged skin tissue.
Nothing dangerous will happen except for that area where the nerve is damaged it will probably hurt but usually it will heal and it will seem like nothing has happened. But if the cells are damaged badly you won't have any feeling in the part of the body where the cells are damaged. Also the cell may not regenerate.
