Some religious fanatic named Arnold Ahlstrom. The site itself appears to be devoid of official sponsorship by any church.
Quite a number of statements on this site line up precisely with official doctrine of the Mormon church. This does not mean to say that the Mormon church is either explicitly or even implicitly behind the site. What is clear is that the views expressed on this site line up almost precisely with Mormon theology including:
Rejection of the Christian doctrine of the trinity
Sin in Eden being regarded as a necessity rather than a curse
Mormon themes on Apostolic authority
Mormon teachings on who Jesus Christ is and what He did on the cross.
These are merely examples and there are probably more but the pattern is clear.
I would not refer to the person behind the site as a religious fanatic. He is a Mormon, or an ex-Mormon who still believes most of what Mormons believe. God the Father is referred to as a 'ruling supreme being' and is superior to Jesus Christ, who is his first 'spirit-child'.

Because it's not a dot com its a dot org (non-profit).
Yes, since about 1986 the distinction between dot com and dot org has become quite blurred. Anyway, "commerce" is not limited to profit-making entities.
