All other colours except red are absorbed.. The reason it seems red to our eyes is because only red colour is reflected back.
A red flower absorbs mostly green light.
When light of all colors (wavelengths) is absorbed by an object, the object appears black.
White is not a color, it is all the colors. So when you look at something red, all colors but red are being absorbed and red is reflected. If it was black, then all colors would be absorbed. If it's white, then no colors are being absorbed..
It has no colors absorbed into. Black would have all colors so heat would be absorbed
The color you perceive is determined by the wavelength (or frequency) of the light. If it was determined by the intensity of the light, then a street light would steadily change coloras you approach it, pass it, and recede from it. That might be quite beautiful, actually. But where I live, it doesn't happen.
When light goes through a spectrum, the waves are split into different colors, or spectra. The colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. That way, you can distinguish what type of light or element is is by counting the number of each type of color.
To do this, it would have to be black, which is the lack of color.
That would be black.
black
Obviously the excact same Red.
Green. Only because green is the color appearance and sunlight is only absorbed by the color showing.
When light of all colors (wavelengths) is absorbed by an object, the object appears black.
green. The green is the only color not absorbed and therefor bounces off the shoe creating a green appearance
The color of the jello would be the complimentary color of the absorbed light. For example, if you have red jello, that means it is absorbing green light, since green is red's complimentary color.
Colors arent the 3 primary colors, its the 7 colors of the rainbow ROYGBIV(Red,Orange,Yellow,Green,Blue,Indigo,Violet) What happens is... well the life of all color is light, without light there is no color, cause light has all these colors (ROYGBIV) When something is red, that means that everycolor from light is being absorbed EXCEPT Red, red is being refracted or kicked out, when something is black, non are being absorbed they are all being refracted, when something is white, all the colors are being absorbed. When there is no light, there is no color, and we wont see color cause it would be to dark to see.
why does plants color change to black when absorbed all wavelengths
White is not a color, it is all the colors. So when you look at something red, all colors but red are being absorbed and red is reflected. If it was black, then all colors would be absorbed. If it's white, then no colors are being absorbed..
The plant would never flower, it needs blue light to flower but it would grow normally....
