The Black Death was a specific outbreak of the Bubonic Plague that lasted from about 1347 to about 1352. The bubonic plague spread all over the earth and there were many outbreaks through the years. It is fairly easily treated with modern medicine, but rodents carry it, so it is not really possible to eradicate it. It could show in most countries from time to time. There were cases in 2010 in the United States and Peru.
