Many countries continue to violate UN princples and resolutions as it is a weak, corrupt and rather pathetic organisation. It has not prevented wars, massacres or genocides which are some of the reasons it was set up. Wars continue all over the world, they stand back during massacres and genocide (Where were they during the genocide in Rwanda, where are they now considering Gaza, Darfur etc)
