Sudan is ethnically diverse, with over 500 ethnic groups, the largest being Arabs, Nubians, Beja, Fur, and Nuba. Arab groups such as the Ja'alin, Shayqiyya, and Juhayna are among the most populous in Sudan, particularly in the northern regions. Additionally, there are various Nilotic groups, including the Dinka, Nuer, and Shilluk, mainly residing in the southern regions.
The Sudan government hires the Janjaweed to exterminate the other ethnic groups in Sudan from the South. The rebel groups such as the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army and the Justice and Equality Movement are fighting against the government.
All of Africa has ethnic difference with Sudan. Sudan is a backward-looking country with dictators and tyrants. It doesn't get along with anybody anymore.
Sudanese traditons have been passed down from generation to generation dating thousands of years before the birth of Christ. Because Sudan is one of the most diversely populated countries in the world, their culture varies among different ethnic groups. The two largest groups residing in Sudan are the Muslims in the northern region, and the native people in the southern region. Although Arabic is the standard language for trade, there are over four-hundred different languages spoken in Sudan.
