The CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification is designed to be the equivalent of the CFA degree (Chartered Financial Analyst).
There is no upper age limit for doing CIma or cfa or cpa courses as these are professional certifications which can be done at any age.

CFA, CFP and CFM are all good degrees and the best for finance majors.
== == A bachelors degree in finance, and a cfa. can one still become a financial analyst with a bachelor's degree in sociology and/or psychology and a cfa? what also is the route to obtaining the cfa qualification? how different is the cfa from acca?

CIMA has a number of meanings. Still, I don't know or anything that employers, colleges, or universities will recognize as equivalent to a bachelor's degree other than the bachelor's degree itself.
Yes, CFA is a really good degree. Just like the other types of degrees it need time and commitment.
For CFA - You should have a good base of Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Statistics/Quanitative Methods, and Calculus. If you haven't taken all of these, good luck. You're gonna need it. I would recommend studying the materials that the CFA Institute gives you.
Both the CFM and CFA are good degrees, you can get hired in audit and accounting firms that really pay well.
