my 2007 camry has no dipstick! had to fill it through the cooler line.

Most likely NO. The engines are different.
The dipstick for the transmission fluid is near the battery. The dipstick is being held in place by a clip. You have to pull the clip away to be able to pull out the dipstick.

To find the dipstick, look for a thin, plastic handle under the hood of the car. This is the transmission dipstick and can be used to check the fluid.
You fill the trans Fluid thru the dipstick you check it from.
The 1988 Toyota Camry transmission has a fluid capacity of 6.3 quarts. You can check the transmission fluid level with the transmission fluid dipstick.
It's between the battery and the exhaust system, usually it has an yellow handle.
Tire pressure
ABS, check engine.
Drain it out until it is on the full mark of the dipstick
