Friskies, because your feeding the senses.
3 factors. It smells good, and they see their owners eating it. They don't actually like it more then their own food. Remember, dog's are still pack animals, and they arrive from an animal that ate the same food. When your dog see's you eating say a hamburger, and they never see you even pretend to eat kibbel, they assume that the hamburger is the ''packs'' food, and therefor theirs as well, not the kibbel. Also, Beneful is a dog food brand of junk food. I feed it to my puppy. But we also have Blue Buffalo. Blue Buffalo is not a junk food of dog food. But like Beneful,Beneful is a junk food of dog food. In Beneful, there's lots of sugar and also fat added to the dog food. Just like Bil-jac and many other brands of dog foods (except for Blue Buffalo). Dog treats are ok for your dog though, there suppost to have sugar. Dog treats are like doggie desserts. Still, I recommend Blue Buffalo's dog treats. Burgers (depending on the certian burger) has fat and sugar added to it. Dogs aren't supposed to be eating human food or junk food dog food. Even human junk food. Lists of junk dog & puppy food: Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan, Pedigree, Bil-jac, Beneful, Royal Canin, Purina Dog Chow, Purina Puppy Chow, Nutro Natural Choice, Purina Active Senior 7+, Iams, etc. Lists of healthy dog & puppy food: Blue Buffalo. Lists of doggie human food hazards (told by our vet): Chocolate, Onions, Garlic and I forgot what else >_<
Petco is a well known store that sells many different kinds of dog foods. To name a few that they sell and are popular is Kibbles and Bits, Pedigree and Pro Plan.
Some of the best dog food companies include: Science Diet, Eukanuba, Innova, Purina, and California Natural. While all of these dog food brands come highly recommended none of them can replace the quality of a raw or cooked homemade diet.
for someone who can't afford the organic/best dog food like me, science diet is better than pedigree i hear. but everyone keep talking that science, pedigree, alpo etc etc.. is bad.. you should buy better dog food if you could..
I suggest Purina Pro Plan, or, more cost effectively, Purina Dog Chow. Stay away from Beneful, Kibbles N` Bits, or Alpo, and even Blue Buffalo, any wet or artificially colored food. Run in the other direction of Ol`Roy. I work at a vets office and alot of these foods can cause GI upsets, and eventually we can even see Pancreatitis Basically look for a plain dry dog food with meat as the first ingredient and no artificial colors and you will be off to a great start.
Nothing wrong with that, pedigree dog food means it top quality food and may be fed to any dog, even a mutt. Pedigree is actually not a top quality dog food, but not horrible quality either. Purina and Beneful are about the same quality. Old Roy, or Kibbles and Bits, or Cesar dog food are probably the worst diets out there. Usually anything made by Hill's is a high quality food, same with any Medi-Cal brand foods.

That's probably because she is not well fed or not eating the right kind of food. Beneful and pedigree, and also Iams is very good for them.
Both dry food, and canned food. There are different brands however for the both of them. Dry Food & Canned Food Brands: 1)Beneful 2)Iams 3)Pedigree 4)Purina ***Just note that it is important to alternate food every day for dogs because picky ones won't eat the same food for a consecutive amount of days. Have two different types of food out for your dog each day or they'll get sick of eating the same thing over and over again.***
They are both bad foods, but Iams is better than Pedigree.
I would stay away from Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Eukanuba, etc. There are FAR higher quality food. I recommend Innova puppy.
