Bloodhounds can be really friendly.I have one that is a police dog(serch and rescue.) He loves playing outside, and playing hide & seek with kids. He is loveable and LOVES to cuddle although he sheds A LOTTTT we have to vac. every 2 to 3 days to keep up with him.Also he slobbers a LOTTTTT too. We have slobber makes that we clean with and old sponge sope & water. Other than that he will protect your family and be a fun,loveable,trustworthy dog. NOT RECOMENED TO THE ELDERY OR FIRT TIME DOG OWNERS!!!!!

∙ 16y agoBloodhounds have a much better sense of smell than deer for a number of reasons. One reason is due to the long ears, which help trap minute particles ( such as skin cells, etc.) that are invisible to the naked eye. Also, the moisture from their copious drooling helps the scent particles to 'stick' to them, which enables them in tracking their target. Bloodhounds are also highly trained to zero in on the scent they are given to track, and not be distracted by sounds, activities, other scents, etc.
