it doesn't really matter what flash card u get so long as they are compatible with the dsi
I heard many great things about the acekard2i though as for ttds not so much but it still works.the 2 best one`s i seen are the r4i and acekard2i many people have different opinion`s but they're the same i would personally get the acekard2i because they're still making updates for it.if u don't really care about bug fixes in the future then just get the 1 with the interface u like best.
Take acekard, they have better compatibility to homebrew.

If you want to play gba games on a ttds then you need a gba emulator compatible for the ttds but i don't think there is one.
They are both basically the same, except the TTDS is newer and loads quicker than the R4. It also has fixed some hardware problems that the R4 has

You can not use R4 with AR. For AR codes with R4/TTDS, you need to find the cheat code editor on the R4 main website. Then follow the instructions there.

Yes, TTDS / R4DS are illegal, but ONLY if you use them for "ROM"s. You can apparently use them for other kinds of media, like music.
