First, make sure you want a five string. The finger board is wider, and the string spacing is smaller, which impact your playing.
That being said, its the usual two questions to be answered:
Do you love the feel/action?
Do you love the sound?
On a five string, I would say that what would be an mid-range price range for a four string is a good starting point for a five string. For me, this turned out to be around $700. After beating on a few Peavy's, an Ibanez or three, I kept coming back to the Schecter Elite-5.
It has a 35" scale, making for a tighter low-b, and the compromise between fingerboard width and string spacing feels perfect in my hand. Having a bound neck also makes it much faster to get up and down the neck, while providing a very smooth feel in hand.
The setup on this guitar from the shop in Burbank is wonderful...the neck was a bit over-bowed for my taste, but its a personal taste, and nothing that won't be fixed if you choose to have a setup on it done for you.
It has a beautiful tone on it across the range, with nice deep lows that are very clean, and a high end that is nothing to be sneered at. The on baord active EQ and Mhz pickups are a pleasure to hear. I chose to put the second battery in mine to make it an 18V rig, but for many people, the default single battery 9V will be just fine.
All in all, I would un-conditionally recommend the Schecter Elite 5...if you want a better five-string, start saving your pennies for a custom boutique bass, made to your own specification. :)
it depends on the type of guitar you got bass or electric, any amp will work for electric guitar but not all amps work with electric bass.
drums are awsome..... DRUMS FOR SURE!!
A bass guitar has a longer neck and only four strings while an electric guitar has six strings. For both I would say buy an amp and most likely lessons as well, but if this is a little out of the budget, the amps is not needed and while lessons would help, a simple guitar/bass method book should suffice. An electric guitar is louder and a ''lead'' guitar. A bass,is lower pitch/sound to keep the song balenced. NOTE:if you wear headphones while listing to a song, you'll here the bass.
The electric drum set is becoming more and more popular these day because of it's versatility how quite it is and it's ability to record. Most electric drum sets these days come with a kick pad that reads the double bass. However there are some that you have to buy a different pad in order to play double bass.
Typical what are you looking at ?
Mac book pro
to look cool
no! its a waste of money
If you like a lot of bass then you should buy them although they cost around $20.
You can buy an electric fireplace from your local home improvement store. Lowes, or home depot should have these, if you have a big walmart, you might even look there.
Just buy a new guitar, but if you insist....1. buy bass pickups, and make sure they fit.2. buy a new head/neck with a 4 spaced nut, and four tuners.3. buy a new bridge, one with 4 string pass ways.all this for about 150 dollars, which is enough for a bassA:It is impossible. Bass guitars have lower frequencies and the strings are spaced farther apart, thus requiring a larger pickup. The length of neck affects innotation, meaning that a guitar neck would make the bass out of tune. Also, the neck needs to be better supported depending on the number of strings on the new bass. The bridge will need to be replaced as well, along with the nut. The tuner have to different sizes. You're better off just buying a bass guitar.
A 4-string bass guitar might be a better guitar to buy for the beginner. It is easier to play than the 5-string bass. The 50string bass can be good for more intermediate players. Because of its extended range, it gives off a better quality of sound.
