The first European to see the Falls was David Livingstone in November 1855 and named them in honour of Queen Victoria
Victoria falls WA found on November 16,1855 I might add, David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, is believed to have been the first European recorded to view the Victoria Falls. He was in the area of Zambia and Zimbabwe where the falls are located. He died in 1873.
