Yosemite Valley's creation can be credited to glaciation. When the glacier advanced and retreated, the valley was carved due to the contact between rock and ice.

Great statement, but not a question. I can only guess what you want to know. Muir did go to Yosemite and worked with Teddy Roosevelt to make Yosemite a national park. There is a wonderful black and white photo of the two of them standing looking over the valley. Another person helping with showing how special Yosemite Valley is was Ansel Adams with his photos of the region.
