Good Friday refers to the day that Jesus was crucified. It is called as such because he did a tremendous feat by being totally innocent, yet still dying for the sins of men. Since he was the Son of God, he could have backed out of this horrible event altogether. But he chose to endure the shame, pain and humiliation because he loves us soooo much.
