Salmon
Salmon are born in fresh water, migrate to the ocean and then return to the fresh water to spawn. Salmon have the reputation of returning to the same place they were born in order to spawn.
Examples of catadromous fish include eels such as American eels and European eels. These fish are born in saltwater, migrate to freshwater to mature and spawn, and then return to the sea to complete their life cycle.
almon are anadromous: they are born in fresh water, migrate to the ocean, then return to fresh water toreproduce. However, populations of several species are restricted to fresh water through their lives. Folklore has it that the fish return to the exact spot where they were born to spawn; tracking studies have shown this to be true, and this homing behavior has been shown to depend on olfactory memory.[2][3]
I don't know exactly what you are asking. Milkfish (Chanos chanos) are spawned in the ocean and eventually migrate to fresh water where they grow on to become adults. Once they are adult they migrate again back into the ocean to spawn. I assume their life cycle is the opposite to the Salmon who live in the ocean but return to the fresh water to spawn.

Some do- salmon spawn in fresh water but live mostly in the ocean. Most fish live in either one or the other, not both.
fish frogs need moisture but have to have still, fresh water to lay spawn and for tadpoles to grow. Also water fleas and yabbies or fresh water crayfish
Although salmon are born in freshwater rivers they spend their lives at sea. After spawning they spend a couple of years making their way down river to the sea. They then adapt to sea water and spend up to two years at sea before swimming back to the actual river they were spawned in. There they lay their eggs and die within two weeks, enriching the river with food for their young to repeat the cycle all over again.
Lampreys can live in both saltwater and freshwater environments, depending on the species. Some lamprey species are anadromous, meaning they live in freshwater but migrate to the ocean to spawn, while others are strictly freshwater inhabitants.
Salmon
The life cycle of a Salmon starts in a fresh water stream. After hatching the fish swims to the sea where it spends almost all of its life. Finally it returns back to the spot it was born; the fresh water stream, & to reach it, it even has to swim up the falls. This is only where it would have sex or lay eggs again.
The only mob that can spawn in water is currently a squid.
