For the sake of this answer, we will divide all the airplanes in the world into 2 classes. Jet, and non-jet (uses a Propeller).

Jet engines suck air from the front, compress it to around 40 times it's original volume, ignite it, and then shoot it from the back, the engine exerts a huge amount of force on the air escaping from behind, which in turn exerts the same amount of force on the engine, which causes it to accelerate forward. Since the engine is firmly anchored to the airplane, the entire plane accelerates forward.

As for propeller based aircrafts, the propeller works the opposite then your household fan. instead of taking air from the back and "shoot" it forward, the propeller takes air from the front, and shoots it backwards, which incredible force. this causes the same action-reaction seen on a jet plane, only on smaller scale.

For every applied Force there is an equal and opposite reaction. Rearward propulsion from a plane's engine is called Thrust.

What produces the forces that form volcanoes and cause earthquakes?

Tectonic plate motion.

Why can only external forces cause objects to move?

Because of Newton's First Law of Motion.

What does Newtons 1st law of motion state about objects on which forces are balanced?

Newton's first law says "Every body remains in a state of constant velocity unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force." This means that in the absence of a non-zero net force, the center of mass of a body either remains at rest, or moves at a constant velocity.Newton's first law for moving objects with balanced force is that the object "behaves" like it has no force acting on it. Because the object has balanced force, the object has a net force of zero, and according to Newton's first law, an object that is in motion will not change its velocity unless an unbalanced force acts upon it. The object is therefore in uniform motion (aka moving at constant velocity).

How do you write essay about Newton's laws of motion to car safety equipment?

You could write that they helped people to understand the concepts of it and so they decided that if a car gets hit straight on the car will want to move forward but won't so then that force will cause you to fly forward and so with the car safety equipment the force won't pull you forward cause you will have a seat belt on that stops you from flying forward at the speed of the impact.

Which newtons laws explains how forces cause motion?

Newton's First Law says that a force is required to change motion.Newton's Second Law explains the relationship between the force and the change.
