Air resistance and friction.
Weight can sometimes slow you down if your going up in like a plane or rocket.
UpTHRUST THRUST=Push
Quite often, things are stopped by friction forces.
Air resistance is basically friction between the object on the air- it has to push the air out of the way, and slows down.
The answer is Gravity. The reason I no is because I have done it in school.Gravity doesn't slow objects down; this is done by friction and air resistance. I know this is because I've studied it in school.________Yes I agree with the second answer. I am in 8th grade, and in 4th grade, we had to make a plastic kart go down a hill, and then STOP!! Our vocabulary consisted of friction, which is the force that stops an object._____Yes I also agree with the second answer, i am studying it right now in college, and we did a project on this, and gravity pulls it down, friction and air resistance try to stop it, so the best asnwer would be friction and air resistance.___
pushes things up
Planes cannot totally resist friction or wind resistance. Aerodynamics helps to lessen friction or wind resistance. I agree. Air has a lower friction co-efficient than things such as wheels rolling on a highway. So, get an airplane up in the air and it requires less energy to move it. If you throw a Frisbee through the air, it goes much further than it you slide it across the street. More detail plz
there are 5 main types friction...try to slow things down gravity...any two objects have gravity of attraction between them static electricity...can attract charged things magnetism...attract objects made from iron upthrust...pushes things fluid(liquid and gases) air resistance and water resistance type of friction. there are also two forces called pressure force and moments force.
All forces make things move only if it is bigger than friction or resistance. In a vacuum (e.g. space), all forces make things move. But this is not reality.
These types of forces include air resistance and friction.(these do not include all of them)
Friction results in resistance to movement and produces heat. It can be destructive.
Friction, when moving sideways. Upthrust when you are trying to go down. gravity when you are trying to go up
Friction and Air Resistance
Quite often, things are stopped by friction forces.
Things would were it not for opposing forces such as friction.
Upthrust is a force that pushes things up in water
Friction is found anywhere where there are contact forces. If there was no friction on Earth, then we wouldn't be able to walk, pick things up, or move at all.
The definition for: Upthrust is a force that helps something float. An object that is partly, or completely, submerged experiences a greater pressure on its bottom surface than on its top surface.
Air resistance is basically friction between the object on the air- it has to push the air out of the way, and slows down.
