If the gas gauge stops working is there a fuse for it?
The gas gauge fuse on a 1999 Honda Civic is located in the fuse panel near the hood release. It prevents excessive current from flowing to and damaging the gauge.
First check the fuse for the 2003 Cavalier gauge. Next check the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank to insure that its working properly. Check the gauge next, then the wiring for the system. One of these units is causing your gauge to not work.
the fuse my be blown or ,it needs anew gauge
Mine does the same thing. I imagine it has a broken sensor
The gas gauge in a digital setting is run from a fuse as well as the float inside the gas tank. Check the fuse for the gas gauge to see if that fixes the problem.
( Fuse # 17 ) is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel gauge on a 1993 Ford Explorer according to my Chilton repair manual
where is the gas pump fuse located in a 2003 expedition
it is a fuse that protects the gauge cluster if too much electricity is thrown at it. it affects the gauge needles, gas needles, etc. if none of that stuff is working, check the "cluster" fuse first.
If your gas gauge is not working on your 2000 Impala you need to take it in to a repair shop. There could be a fuse that needs to be replaced to prevent you from running out of gas.
The gauge could be bad, the fuel gauge sending unit in the gas tank as part fo the fuel pump could be bad you could have a bad ground wire you could have a broken wire in the harness runnign from the fuel tank to the gauge.
