Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the greenhouse gas which has the biggest impact on climate change. The CO2 released by human activity is all from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). The carbon in fossil fuels has been hidden underground for 300 million years, so releasing it now is too much for the carbon cycle to deal with. So the extra CO2 remains in the atmosphere gathering more heat and causing global warming. Global warming is causing climate change.

Water vapor is far and away the most common green house gas. It makes up 5% of our atmosphere and creates up to 76% of all forcing.

CO2 is second. It makes up 0.03% of our atmosphere and 3 to 26% of the forcing (depending on your source)

The rest of the gases, such as Methane and Ozone make up less then 1% each.

Man produces 0.28% of all green house gases and 6% of all CO2. Much of the CO2 produced by man would be generated naturally if man would not create it.

Nature produces the remaining 99.7%. Much of this from forests. Cutting dead trees and using this wood for homes or other useful purposes prevents them from rotting and giving off CO2. All decaying matter gives off CO2.

The gas which we can do most to prevent, and the one that is causing the increase in temperatures, is carbon dioxide, caused by man burning fossil fuels.

Will greenhouse gas effect global warming?

yes, increases in greenhouse gasses are the dominant cause of global warming.

Which effect is responsible for global warming?

The enhanced greenhouse effect in our atmosphere is believed to be causing global warming.

What gases cause global warming and how?

Greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide and methane, mostly) cause global warming by increasing their levels in the atmosphere. This turns the benign greenhouse effect into an accelerated greenhouse effect which is causing global warming.

What natural greenhouse gases are associated with greenhouse effect?

global warming

What is the greenhouse effect called?

the green house effect called global warming, and the global warming is increasing day-by-day.

What environmental issue is related to the greenhouse effect?

Global Warming... Global Warming is caused by Carbon Dioxide being trapped in the Earth's atmosphere. AKA the greenhouse effect.

What is the another term for the greenhouse effect?

Global warming, but the two terms are not the same. The natural greenhouse effect keeps the planet warm. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.Global warming causes climate change.

How is global warming working?

The greenhouse effect is the trapping of heat by certain gases that have been identified as helping retain heat on our planet. The runaway greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

Does the greenhouse effect only effect the Venus?

No. That's what global warming is caused by.

Global Warming and Heat

How ozone layer is damaged by greenhouse effect?

Global warming causes greenhouse effect. It then causes ozone depletion.

What do humans do to effect the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect keeps us all warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.
