So i have this information but i am not very sure if its all correct. And i have come down to two options. What i am trying to keep is the options open for customization in future. Should i get two Gtx 580 or three hd 6850. I am not planing to buy two or three all together but in future.
The problem is this according to passmark GTx 580(sli) benchmarks points are 3868 if i multiply it by not 2 but 1+.9 = 1.9x because performance boost doesnt double for every other card. so 1.9*3868 = 7349 for around 1060 dollars total.
While hd 6850(crossfirex) 1+.8+.7 = 2.5, & benchmarks points 2834, so 2.5*2834 = 7085 for 525 dollars total.
Now my question is my method correct to wegith their true worth. Should i get 3 hd 6850 because they are gonna cost half and provide about the same performance if my way of judging performance is correct. I got this numbers (1.9. 2.5) from their websites.
