As the New Egyptian Kingdom declined the power of Kush began to strengthen again. The Kushites admired the Egyptian culture. They started using hieroglyphics and egyptian inspired art. So when the government brokedown and fell prey to invaders the Kushite fought on behalf of the Egyptian empire to protect the art, temples, and cities of Egypt.
