Germany was oppsosed but some austrlian born germans were supporting our alliances and troops the french also oppsosed on our troops and country but we had trades Britain and they where Australias biggest trading partner when the war was on in 1913.

I'm currently studying an ANZAC who served in Pozieres, France. On his way to this town from Egypt, he landed in Marseilles and from there travelled north. It would appear from this that Marseilles was used as a randez vouz point on his way to battle.

It didn't exist until 1932 so there was no country to get involved in WW1.
Australians did not support conscription in WW1 all the troops Australia sent were volunteers.
