Since both 1 cup and 1 quart (the approximate volume of a standard teapot) contain the same substance (water), and specific heat is the property that determines how must energy per gram is needed to raise the temperature of a given substance, both the cup and the teapot transfer energy at the same rate. However, if you heated both volumes up to the same temperature, it would take a little longer to raise the temperature of the teapot. So, it would be able to store more energy. Thus, once they reached the same heated temperature, if you poured each container of water into a gallon of water each, you would find that the teapot would already have stored MORE energy, and would be able to transfer more energy.

Both temperatures will be at the same boiling point, initially. But the larger volume of the kettle means that the heat will be retained far longer than the temperature of the water in the cup.

The temperature of boiling water stays the same. At sea level, that is 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. At higher elevations, say on a tall mountain, the boiling point of water is less and less, the higher you go.

How does pressure affect the temperature at which water boils?

There is a direct relationship between the temperature at which water boils and the air pressure on it. Higher pressure, higher boiling point. Lower pressure, lower boiling point.
