If the stick is just sitting there, it doesn't exert any force at all. If you're swinging the stick, the shape of the stick won't matter much; the force will be determined by the speed and mass of the stick.

If you are poking with the stick, then the FORCE will be the same whether it is blunt or pointed - but a pointed stick will concentrate the force into a smaller AREA, so the force per area will be a lot higher with a sharp stick than with a blunt one.

Why does a blunt pin require more pressure than a sharp pin?

There is more surface area so the force is spread out more

If you wear pointed heals in one leg and slippers on the other legwhich leg exerts more pressurExplain?

you mean "pointed HEELS". The 'footprint' of the shoe with pointed heels has a higher loading due to it's smaller area. slippers have more than double the area as a 'footprint'

What is breakout force?

Breakout force describes the maximum force that the arm can apply on a load. It's measured by how hard the end of the bucket can push, but all of the hydraulic rams on the arm contribute to the total force. Backhoes also have stick liftand boom lift ratings, which tell you the maximum weight the stick and the boom can lift individually when the hydraulic rams are pushing with full force. This is another measure of a backhoe's general capacity, and is especially useful for contractors who plan to use the backhoe as a sort of crane for lifting heavy loads. The backhoe in the pictures above has a 14,712-lb (65.4-kN) breakout force, a 6,250-lb (2,830-kg) stick lift capacity and a 3,940-lb (1,787-kg) boom lift capacity. - You can checkout more at - http://www.tutorearth.com/2012/07/31/breakout-force/

Why does a nail has pointed tip?

the tip of a nail is kept pointed by keeping in mind the principle that pressure is inversely proportionate to the area in contact. The pointed tip covers a less area, further creating a situation of more pressure, so that we could easily pierce it through the wall.

Are all projectiles bullet shaped with a blunt end and a pointed end?

In most cases, however some bullets have two blunt ends. Typically, the blunt end is inside the cartridge and the pointed end is the first end out of the gun barrel (the business end). Reversing this protocal, results in a blunt end-first bullet. Blunt end-first bullets were used in World War I by the Germans primarily to pierce the armor of the British Mark I tank and against French infantry. These bullets were usually modified in the field, and were generally frowned upon by German command. The soldier would reverse the bullet, placing the pointed end and more propellent (powder) into the cartridge. If the bullet failed to pierce the tank armor, it sprayed shrapnel killing tank occupents or surrounding infantry. German infantry did not like these types of bullets because they would damage the gun or cause injury to the soldier.

What is wonder man's weakness?

Wonder Woman is weak to piecing weapons, yet highly resistant to blunt force. It takes an enraged Superman's punches to break her bones, while a bullet from a gun can pierce her skin as it would any normal person. Energy weapons seem to be more effective than blunt force. However, its possible she just isn't as resistant to energy weapons as she is to blunt force.

Why does an arrow go deeper in water than a bullet?

The tip of an arrow is pointed and so it exerts very little pressure on the water surface. Also the shape of the arrow is streamlined so that it has as little Resistance as possible. However, the tip of the regular bullet is blunt and so it exerts more force than the arrow when it comes in contact with the water surface. And the deflection of the bullet in the water will be more than that of the arrow away from the normal due to reflective index.
