HorseIsle Answer- Percheron

There are several breeds of draft horse that originated in France. Here is a list:

  1. Ardennais
  2. Boulonnais (and it's sub-type, the Picardy)
  3. Brabant
  4. Breton
  5. Nivernaise
  6. Percheron
  7. Poitevin

Note that various French draft breeds were developed or are related to draft breeds of other countries. The Poitevin, for example, is a descendant of Flemish horses brought to France.
