Who benefits the most from phones?

It depends who is using it. They are good for emergencies, but the parents would benefit more, then kids or teenagers. They are used for talking, but you should keep it to a minimum, as depending on your plan, they can be expensive when purchased, when you barely have a chance to use them.

But, the most important use to me is probably during emergencies. Cell phones allow you to communicate almost instantly to another, which allows to use this device at almost any given emergency.

The biggest benefit to an individual having a Mobile (Cell) phone - is that they never need to look for a public phone in case of emergency. This is especially relevant to someone who's car breaks down in the middle of no-where (as chances are that's what will happen !) Having a mobile phone means you can stay with your vehicle (the safest option) until help arrives.

Add to that the convenience of being 'contactable' wherever you are, and the benefits kind of speak for themselves.
