Super Amoled
The HTC One X does not have a super amoled plus screen, it has an IPS panel premium LCD screen.
lcd coz in sunlight amoled is useless.......super amoled is best of two. TFT (Thin Film Transistor) which is a type of display technology for LCD has better sunlight visibility than AMOLED. However, Super-AMOLED (which is lot better than AMOLED) comes to very close to LCD in terms of sunlight visibility.
LCD are usually better and plasma screens use more energy and are bigger.
It is the quality of the lcd screen. The higher the DPI the better it will be.
The waveform on an LCD screen is the wavelength at which the images are being transmitted. The higher the waveform, the better the image quality.
It is one and the same device. The GT-i9020 is the Super AMOLED version of the Nexus S. The GT-i9023 is the Super Clear LCD version, and was for the European market.
I would get the plasma screen TV. They have a much better picture and they are much better to watch movies on than a LCD TV. They also cost less than the LCD TVs.
These names are sometimes used interchangeably. But a true flat screen monitor is a CRT(cathode ray tube) based monitor that simply has a flat screen instead of a curved one. Whereas the LCD is typically thinner and doesn't use CRT technology but (LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY) technology to display pixels on the screen.
This subject has alot of debate but research of owners opinions shows that LCD screens are getting better reviews. Plasma's are still very vulnerable to damage if bumped and burn in on the screen.
To understand Super AMOLED you first need to understand its origins. It started with OLED, which stands for 'organic light-emitting diode' and consists of a thin organic film with electrodes at either side. As soon as an electric current is applied to the film it emits light. AMOLED is an 'active-matrix organic light-emitting diode'. It adds a layer of semiconducting film behind the OLED panel which allows it to more quickly activate each pixel. That increased speed makes it ideal for larger, higher definition displays with a lot of pixels. In fact, it's as much as 1000 times faster than LCD. AMOLED screens also tend to have great contrast, as the light on the screen comes from each individual pixel rather than a backlight; when it needs to create a black color it simply dims or turns off the relevant pixels, for a true, deep black. AMOLED screens also use a large color gamut, so they can display a wide range of colors, but that can also cause images to look very vibrant or over-saturated.
A TFT screen is better - because it can be made interactive. That way, the user can start apps or enter text fia an 'on-screen' keyboard. LCD screens cannpt do that.
If the LCD screen has an USB port, then yes, it can.
