The reason why black absorbs more heat is because when light is split up into the seven colours, black objects seem to absorb them all. black attracts the sun more than any other color actually.. black absorbs the sunlight. you can only see colour because it reflects that particular colour back to your eyes & absorbs all other light spectums. i.e. if the car was red, it is not absorbing the red light, there fore you see the car as red, but that is less heat from the sun to absorb. white is the coolest colour, as whire relects all light back.
