The DSi is better than the DS because it does everything the DS can do with the exception of GBA games and Guitar Hero, but it has a built in browser (which means that it has more RAM which makes it better for flash carts), music player, dual cameras and picture editor, and DSiWare. The only downside is that if you already have a DS, you can't sell your DS for much and the DSi is expensive.
