The PS3 is better unless you need a portable. The Vita is meant for PS3 owners to allow them to have the best portable to go with there PS3. It is better to have both and not just either one

Well, PS3 slim looks cool and has more games than PS Vita, but the PS Vita will have graphics that look similar to the PS3's but probably SONY will come up with some other games for PS Vita and one bad part about PS Vita is that its not cheap, but also maybe SONY will lower the price by March or April or May or maybe next year but i'd say PS Vita because its most likely a portable PS3.
