Desktop is ultimate if mobility is not an issue. In desktop, you can get a better configeration. It doesn't get over-heated even if you keep using it 24x7. There is more provision for upgradation and the hardware price is cheaper than laptop. You dont need to charge or change batteries. Healthwise, in desktop the posture remains perfect and prevents you from neck, back and wrist syndromes.
Best part: You can't misplace them
It's a matter of choice. If you like flexibility laptop will be better for you. If you do not mind to have your computer at the same place desktop will work for you.
