Side sweep, hands down. Although it's extremely popular, it really gives your hair a lot of character, and there are sososo many styles that work with it, from scene/emo/punk stuff to extremely fashionable. It's also easier to maintain if you straighten your hair - bangs are too short to really play with all too much.
