I would say it depends on the type of dental pain (pre-surgical,post-surgical,or just bad infections or abcesses). Demerol (meperidine) is a way stronger pain killer than hydrocodone( vicodin, lortab, norco, vicoprofen). People having serious dental surgeries or have a tolerence to opiods might need the stronger demerol. Less severe dental pain can most likely be controlled by hydrocodone. Also hydrocodone always has either acetaminophen,or ibuprofen in it . While meperidine (demerol) has only that drug in it. The acetaminophen or ibuprofen in hydrocodone also has an anti swelling property to it which can help a lot. I've personally never heard of demerol prescribed for dental pain. Usually if something stronger than hydrocodone is needed percocet (oxycodone) is given.
Aleve
Antibiotics reduce infection, not pain. If the dentist didn't prescribe any pain medication, you can take over-the-counter medication such as Moutrin, Aleve, Tylenol for pain. (I like Aleve because it also helps with the swelling.)
tylenol.
Can you take lipozene while on hydrocodon pain meds
Treatments for pain in the head and shoulder, one should take some pain reliever, such as Aleve. For shoulder pain, one should consult with the doctor.
If you take aleve and ecstasy you should be perfectly fine. just take small doses of the aleve!!! no more than two. A little pain reliever will never hurt anybody
If ultram isn't ridding you of your pain aleve certainly will not help. I was on ultram for eight years and it worked for mild pain. I've taken Aleve a few times and it did absolutely nothing. But to answer your question I can take aleve with ultram with no problem.
if you are having severe tooth pain, you should see a dentist. it would usually indicate your tooth is dying or the nerves in your tooth are dying off. Sensitive to hot or pressure will most likely result in a root canal or extraction of that tooth. Waiting for the pain to disappear will only result in future issues. should cold or hot be used to relive pain
NO. ALEVE does not contain ibuprofen. ALEVE should not be taken with ibuprofen or any other pain reliever, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so. Do not take ALEVE if you have had either hives, facial swelling, asthma, or shock after taking any pain reliever/fever reducer. You may have a serious reaction. ALEVE contains naproxen sodium, 220 mg. ALEVE contains 200 mg of naproxen and 20 mg of sodium (salt) to help your body absorb ALEVE more quickly. It helps you feel pain relief faster than with naproxen alone.
meloxicam
You can take Tylenol during pregnancy, but Advil, aspirin, and Aleve are not safe. If the pain persists you should see a doctor.
A capped tooth may hurt for awhile after the work has been done, but the pain should not be severe and it should subside over time. If you continue to have pain, check with your dentist as your tooth may have an infection or another problem.
