Type of RAM and its amount usually has nothing to do with type of VRAM and its amount. So the answer is yes it can if you have appropriate slots on your motherboard and your power supply allows you to run the card.
The NVIDIA Geforce 8800gts has higher and better specs and shows better performance, the 500 range of the 8000 and 9000 are not gaming cards where as the 800 range are. The 9500gt is like the equivalent of the 8600gt
9800 GT. Faster memory, faster core, better preformance.
The 9500gt is better, but still you would not get satisfying performance with it. Go for 9600 or 8800. 8600 is fine but still not that satisfying.
it will never be GeForce 8400 is improved and and is better than GeForce 6800 in every way
the 8400 is the better card
The GTS 250 is much better. The GTS 250 is similar to a 9800 GTX.
nvidia geforce gt525m
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680. gpuboss . com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-970-vs-GeForce-GTX-680
It's much better than the Geforce 2, and probably on par/ slightly lower in speed than the 6600.
8500gt by far
Nvidia Quadro family
Try Nvidia's 9 series (like geforce 9200 or 9800 for gamers) they also came out with a heavy duty card. geforce 350 to handle the modern day games. But cost 500 bucks.
I've tried it with games such as COD5 and others and can say 8400 is not as powerful but looks better 7600 can handle more so is better for games
The GeForce GTX series is the highest series in NVIDIA's line (NVIDIA's flagship card is the GTX 295). Therefore the GTX 260M is better.
