There is no such thing as 80GB of memory right now, so you must be talking about a hard drive. Memory and hard drive storage are completely different. 256Mb, though small, would be a number related to memory.

8gb. "Gb" is a term for "gigabytes" and "mb" means "megabytes." A gigabyte is 1,024 megabytes, so 256 mb isn't even close to 1 gb :)

8GB (gigabyte) is much bigger than 256MB (megabyte)

There are 8192 megabytes in 8 gigabytes.
