One quarter of a gigabyte,
256MB is 0.256GB.
Presumably you are talking about replacing (upgrading) system RAM, as its been a long time since 256mb or 2 gb hard drives were common. That being said, replacing the RAM in your computer will have no effect on the data stored on your computer. Long-term storage of user data is done with the hard disk. System RAM is temporary storage only, and is wiped every time the computer is powered down.
A hard drive does not have a compatible video card. They don't interact.
A Gigabyte is a unit of measuring how much info a computer can store or how big a file is. It is equivilent to 1000 megabytes which is 1000 kilobytes which is 1000 Bytes. IN other terms, a gig is 1000000000 bytes. For comparison for what this can hold, a picture is around 30 kilobytes.
A 4GB memory card will hold about two hours of 720p recording. One gigabyte will hold about 30 minutes of this type of recording.
RAM from graphic cards does not contribute to overall RAM on a computer. A graphic card that has RAM will only use that RAM for the use of the graphic card itself and no other parts of the computer. This means that the RAM that is on the graphic card is only used to store images that are being sent to the graphic card itself. The RAM on the graphic card allows the card to handle much more graphic intensive scenes, and puts a lot less stress on the graphic card, because instead of the graphic card having to process every bit of information for the scene that is sent to it. ( lets say your graphic card as 1GB of RAM on it ) The graphic card can store at least 1 GB of RAM in its memory to process later, allowing the card to finish processing the information that it was processing before the new information came in. Hope this helps.
2gb... gigabyte is larger than megabytes
No. I've burned up 512mb and one gb cards in the 750. The technology was only up to 256mb when that model came out.
256mb
Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, graphic card 256MB (GeForce 6800 or better), 4.5 GB HDD, Windows XP
not even close. there is about 1000mb in a gb
That is way to small of an sd card for that type or camera. You will probably be able to take only a few pictures. Try to at least get a 256mb sd card, that will hold a lot more pictures.
It has 264 kB of internal memory. It also has 4 MB of RAM. 1 MB is 1/1024 of a GB, 1 kB is 1/1024 of a MB.
No. There is 1056Mb in 1 GB. There is no such thing as 80GB of memory right now, so you must be talking about a hard drive. Memory and hard drive storage are completely different. 256Mb, though small, would be a number related to memory.
No 2 Gb is 8 times bigger than 256 Mb.
depend on the picture size and their quality if you are saving .png format picture than it you can save upto 10000 pics on 2 GB or more.
Assuming the 1G refers 1 GB(or Gigabyte) no, 256mb is not more than that. MB, or a Megabyte is equal to 1,000,000 bytes. Therefore, 256MB is 256,000,000 bytes. Whereas a GB, or Gigabyte is equal to 1,000,000,000 bytes.
You have 256mb there are no 258mb card but 256mb will do nicely
