Some people may say it was the spinosaurus but then tell them to consider the Gigantasaurus. That is guarantied to make them quiet. Don't type in 'what is the biggest carnivorous dinosaur because it will come up with the spinosaurus, which would be the obvious choice if the Gigantasaurus never existed. People who have no actual interest in what the actual answer is are normally just saying it because they like that dinosaur therefore it is biased. On the other hand people may be just mislead by others comments. I'm sorry that i was not able to find a shortened name for this Gigantasaurus, but i thought it would be logical to call it Giga-saurus. some people may think why not call it G-rex? like the T-Rex but if you think about it the T-Rex is called that because its scientific name is Tyrannosaurus Rex whether the Gigantasaurus has not got a Rex after it.
The Gigantasaurus lived in the mid Cretaceous, mainly in south America just below where Brazil is now. very few have actually been found therefore it may have lived everywhere for all we know but the majority of specimens have been discovered in south America.
