I believe from a basic understanding that the cells of humans replicate using mitosis and mainly bacteria and similar organisms of the sort use binary fission to replicate.

binary fission! it is a simple cell division by prokaryotes.

unlike eukaryotes, they undergo mitosis and meiosis which are more complex cell divisions.
