First of all, it is entirely opinion. Calgary and Edmonton have a running thing going, where apparently "all" people from Calgary hate Edmonton, and vice versa. Which isn't actually true, for the most part. This probably mostly comes from hockey. Most Calgarians are extremely defensive of their team, the Calgary Flames, and tend to often dislike opposition. Edmonton's team, The Oilers, is certainly Calgary's least favourite team. Why, I am not sure. If you go into Chinook mall, many T-shirts with the oilers logo are available, except they say "Losers" in the middle.Calgary is larger and has a stronger economy.
