Technically, a lion is a panther and belongs to the genus panthera. A panther is not a particular species of animal and may be a lion, tiger, leopard, snow leopard or a jaguar.
Most likely a lion because of its size
Lions are panthers, as well as tigers, leopards, snow leopards and jaguars. All belong to the genus Panthera. The lion would probably be able to take down any other panther except the tiger, which is larger.
Most likely a rhino when the rhino knocks the lion out with its big horns.
In power, most likely bear, to win a fight, the lion, speed and almost as strong/stronger than the bear.
Most likely the lion will win but there are other facts that will affect the outcome such as numbers on each or the place where the fight is taken.
The gorilla is most likely the winner. It is likely that the small ox will not win because the panther can kill the small ox by biting or clawing it and the gorilla will throw a stone on the small ox's head. The gorilla later will beat the panther by a snap on the throat or throwing a stone.

Crocodile would win
Although the jaguar is a powerful animal, the lion is larger and stronger, and most likely would win.
Animals do not cross-breed. They mate only with their kind. So, the chances of such an event of a lion mating with a panther is extremely rare or even improbable. A lion will most likely kill a panther if it sees one to cut the competition for food.

On land most likely.
Th e Panther is a melanistic Jaguar or Leopard. Lions are pack hunters and are less deadly on their own. A male Lion can have 50-100% more body mass than a Panther or even more in some cases. According to many sources the Jaguar is the most strongest big cat while pound for pound it is the Leopard. The Leopard is far more aggressive then any other big cat and it is said that the Panther (melanistic Jaguar or Leopard) is even more aggressive than the spotted cats. According to many zoologists a 160 kg Panther (Leopard or Jaguar) will defeat a 250 kg male Lion. I share your opinion , ..... although you can try to find a 160 Kg. Panther ! meaning that Panthers can weigh anything between 40 to 90 Kg. Maybe in extremely rare cases they can reach 100 Kg. So a Big Lion [over 200 kg] will surely win against the Biggest Panther. But a medium-Lion I wouldn't be so sure ! Regards

Puma concolor is known by a variety of names - mountain lion, cougar and puma are the most common. They are sometimes called panthers but that name is misleading because they are not a true panther.
A lion, most likely.
