THe best free anti-virus/anti-malware program out there in Malwarebytes Antimalware. It's completely free, and it detects just short of EVERYTHING possible out there. Plus, if you do pay like 20 bucks USD, then you get real-time protection. In short, Malwarebytes= best out there. 'Nuff said.
I think the best free antivirus is Avira. Because it has in it s virus base over milion signatures and it has very good Heuristic Analyser which can protect from new/"new versions" of Malwares(Virus, Trojan, Worm ...).
But free version of this antivirus will not protect you from Pywareas and adwares. To protect your computer from this Malwares you can use SpywareTerminator or Microsofts Windwos Defender which is also free. I use such security in my computer.
