This is especially hard to answer, partly because different people like different things, and partly because there are multiple DVDs of both. I am familiar with three DVDs of each of these books.
My favorite of all these DVDs is the 1996 version of Persuasion starring Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. It flows well, and shows a young woman growing from a rather mousy and retiring thing into a beautiful and confident young lady.
The 2007 version of Persuasion is rather too weepy. Aside from this, it lacks some important detail from the book.
The 1971 TV series of Persuasion is the most boring of the three, but is also the truest to the book. True or not, I would avoid it.
Of the versions of Mansfield Park, my favorite is the 1983 version starring Sylvestra Le Touzel. Unfortunately, this version is the version I think most people would find most boring. But the acting by Sylvestra Le Touzel is precisely what I would expect to see in Fanny Price as she appears in the book. Also the book follows the plot of the novel quite closely, including some scenes famously in the book, but not in the other DVD versions at all, such as the scene in which Henry Crawford and Maria Bertram discover they can sneak through a locked gate into a field where they want to roam about.
The 2007 version of Mansfield Park, starring Billie Piper, is one I like quite a lot, and is definitely not boring in the way the 1983 version is, but I am disappointed in the directing and interpretation. Much of my disappointment comes from the fact that Fanny Price is portrayed rather too much as a flirt with lightened hair.
The 1999 version of Mansfield Park, starring Francis O'Connor, portrays Fanny Price as a cynical observer of the failures and foibles of other people, dwells on subjects not really present in the novel, such as slavery and drug addiction, and seems to violate the whole intent. Nevertheless, it seems to be the version most people like the best.

A lcd with a Dvd can be a better choice if you are limited on space or like the conveniance of have both electronics in the same unit. It also has a much better picture without the "graininess" of and older dvd player

There's no such thing as "Numb DVD". And it's Linkin Park.
