It is difficult to determine the "oldest" living language definitively, as languages evolve continuously over time. However, languages such as Tamil, Hebrew, and Chinese have ancient roots and are considered some of the oldest continuously spoken languages in the world.
Tamil means language in the oldest dravidian language in sangam period. currently there is a south indian language which is formed with same name from the same old dravidian language. but the word tamil only means "language" or "lingua" or "bhasha" or "bahasa" and it has four derivatives which are kannada, malayalam,tamil and telugu.
It's actually not possible to know, since all Indian languages are older than writing.
