Richard III
Jose Benito
People sometimes call him the Bard of Avon.
William Shakespeare
If that's what you want to call him, then it's your choice :-)
William Shakespeare spent considerable time and money obtaining a grant of arms for his father. That meant that his father had his own personal coat of arms which William (being the eldest son) would inherit on his death. It also meant that he could call himself "Mr. William Shakespeare" or "William Shakespeare, gent."; without the grant of arms he was plain "William Shakespeare."
His jobs were acting, writing poems and plays. But although we have no reason to think Shakespeare did not enjoy his job, we still wouldn't have called it an interest. He did have an interest in boosting his family status by getting a grant of arms for his father, so he could then call himself "William Shakespeare, Gent."
People in Shakespeare's day had no concept of a "real name". Thus William Shakespeare's name is William Shakespeare even though the entry in the baptismal register reads "Guliemus filius Johannes Shakspere", or in English, "William the son of John Shakspere" The number of spelling variants for Shakespeare's last name is legendary, and as far as Shakespeare's contemporaries were concerned, none was more "real" than any other. Centuries of custom have hallowed the form "William Shakespeare". This is the standard spelling. You can call him "Guliemus Shakspere" if you like, but this is no more "real" than any other spelling.
He was born in April of that year. You could call that a milestone.
In "Henry V" by William Shakespeare there is one line that refers to the theater as a cockpit. He was referring to the size of the stage as being very small.
It is unlikely that William Shakespeare read a novel. The novel form had not really been developed in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and there were not very many works around which you might call novels. Shakespeare was a voracious reader, but he read history books, poetry and stories.
