Reproduction
Reproduction is not necessary for the survival of an individual organism but it is important to reproduce for the survival of the species
The life function that is necessary to the species but not the individual organisms is reproduction. The organism would still be able to survive without reproducing.

because the gravity of the earth is forcing you to love me than your parents.
An individual organism does not lose characteristics. A species can, over time, and this is called natural selection, which thus results in evolution.
The relationship between the terms species and organism isthat they are both living. Organisms are in a species.
That is a very thought provoking question. And, the answer may be even more thought provoking. All the systems working together comprise the living organism. If we look at it from an individual point of view: if any one of the systems did not work properly, then the organism would not work properly, and probably not survive. If there was one system that could be sacrificed to allow the individual organism to continue functioning, then it would likely be the reproductive system, since the organism could live without reproducing itself. But, if we looked at it from a species point of view: all other systems could be sacrificed to allow for the reproductive system to function and reproduce to keep the species alive.
The function of mitosis is simply to replicate or reproduce the cell - the most basic act of any organism. Also, growth of the organism and tissue repair, to ensure that each new cell receives a complete set of genetic information, asexual reproduction in some species.
Reproduction. An individual organism does not have to reproduce in order to survive but if the organisms did not produce then the species would die out after just a single generation.
An individual organism is one single organism of a species.

Species (under the Biological Species Concept).
I would say metamorphosis because not all species go through it. Metamorphosis is the process when a young organism that looks nothing like the adult, becomes an adult.
An individual organism is one single organism of a species.
Reproduction
Genus and species are specific to each individual organism, so there is no genus species for all plants.
An individual is a single organism belonging to a population, which is a group of individuals of the same species living in the same area and capable of interbreeding.
binomial system
As an individual you do not need to. As a race it is necessary for the continuance of the species
Conventional breeding is vertical breeding within the same species. Genetic modification is horizontal breeding, which removes a gene from one organism and inserts it into an unrelated organism. The transgenic individual carries the gene from the unrelated species, while the individual from conventional breeding does not.
